Camp MASCOT (M* Artistic Summer Camp of Teamwork) is a 9-day all-Engish summer camp for Ukrainians ages 14-20. (From here on, the term "M*" refers to the city of the camp). It gives students a chance to come together and share in their passion for the arts, such as singing, playing instruments, theater, drawing, or painting. It also teaches students about very important issues and topics like gender equality, racism, hate speech, conflict resolution, propaganda, project design management, and more. During the camp, the students are required to work together to plan, design, and implement a large project for the community in M*. Last year, their project was an English-learning event called "Run for Cookies." They set up different stations for kids, such as songs, dancing, English, and arts. They also received donations that went to Orphanage No. 2 in M*. Overall the camp and project turned out to be very successful and we plan to implement another project in next year's camp.
