The goals for this program is to establish a career service program for Guimaras State College (GSC). This program is needed for the empowerment and support of graduating students trying to obtain employment. The program plans to do this by having the Office of Student Development and Services provide three types of programs: Career Planning Workshops, Personality Packaging Workshops and Exclusive Job Fairs. The career planning sessions will involve teaching the students about writing resumes, cover letters, and researching strategies for job openings. The personality packaging sessions will pertain to personality development, communication and interviewing skills. The plan for the job fairs is to invite agencies that are interested in hiring GSC graduates. In addition to this, GSC plans to conduct a research study on the effectiveness of the program's results. The study will help GSC to adopt the interventions gained from the three programs for increasing the post graduate employment rate. Guimaras State College is supporting this idea with strong enthusiasm and is willing to provide the venue, and human resources such as (but not limited to) the student government and government employment program connections (Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Local Government Units, and Commission on Higher Education).
