This project is a three night training and competition for young student entrepreneurs in Benin. Our participants will be both female and male students who are selected from Peace Corps volunteer's business clubs. This initiative gives females the opportunity to apply and present their business and entrepreneurship skills. The young entrepreneurs will participate in sessions on starting a business, women in business, professionalism, public speaking, leadership, and financial management. Additionally, the participants will develop business plans and compete for prize money to help start their ventures. Participants will come to the event with a business idea, and throughout the week, volunteers will help them improve and refine their business plans. These improvements will be included so that on the final day the participants are ready to present. A panel of local judges will determine the winners. Several members of the community are contributing their time and travel costs to present their experiences, run sessions, and judge the competition.

The goal of this project is that young Beninese students, especially female students who have fewer opportunities, will be more capable entrepreneurs who are inspired to create new innovations to improve lives in Benin. Equally as importantly, we hope to encourage and promote greater participation of women in business. Volunteers will remain in contact with their participants to help them with their businesses and with the continued development of their skills.
