Our Vocational School aims to create a space that provides constructive extra-curricular activity. The project will directly serve about 20 youth ages 16-20 and indirectly, could serve up to all 840 students at our vocational school. All of the students at the school study in a specific vocation and generally look to be employed immediately after completion of courses. Vocations that the school specialize in are tailoring, hairdressing, culinary arts, food service, welding, painting, and carpentry. Although the vocations are very well taught, cognitive skills, volunteerism, and project design management are skills that fall by the wayside.Throughout the school year and summer, the room is used for English clubs, Cognitive skills classes, and Volunteer Club meetings. In Volunteer Club Meetings students work on volunteer projects that serve their school and community. Cognitive-skills classes and English clubs broaden perspectives on the world and the self.

It is the goal of this project to supply the room with technologies that will make presentations for English Clubs and Cognitive Skills classes more entertaining and accessible, while increasing the capabilities of the Volunteer Club through a training on Project Design Management and increased technological resources for project implementation. This room will also play host to special events that are held at the school such as expert lecturers as well as resume writing and interviewing workshops.
